How do I 'manually' upload files using the Edit Window?

  1. From the Admin Panel, open the page where you want the link to the file to appear.

  2. In the Edit Window, type the text that you want to be linked (eg Click here to download).

  3. Highlight the text with your mouse.

  4. Click on the "Link" icon on the toolbar.  A pop-up window will appear.

  5. Click the <Browse Server> button.

  6. In the Resources Browser window, open the folder for the file type you want to upload (eg doc).
    * If there is no folder listed for the file type, please contact support to create the folder for you before proceeding.)

  7. Click the <Browse> button at the bottom of the Resources Browser window.  A pop-up explorer window of files on your local system will appear ("File Upload").

  8. Find the file you want to upload, select it with your mouse and click the <Open> button.

  9. Click the <Upload> button in the bottom right corner of the Resources Browser window.  Your file will now be uploaded to the server.  Please note that this could take a few minutes depending on the size of the file and the speed of your connection.

  10. Once the upload is complete, the file will appear in the centre window of the Resources Browser.  Click on it.  The Resources Browser window will close, and you will see the filename in the URL field of the Link Window.

  11. Click <OK>

  12. <Click to Submit> to save your updates.
